This piece is one of my favorites. It is a self portrait, of sorts. I wanted to depict myself as the fish, as I was always closely watched as a child, whether it was by teachers, or in sports, I always felt like I was in a fishbowl. The fish is sick, shown by its fraying fins, and being watched isn’t helping.
